Meta has been developing a new AI ad targeting process. These machine-learning-based ad targeting models aim to improve ad performance by enabling Meta to deliver more relevant ads to each user, without needing to gain the same level of personal usage insight. This development can circumvent restrictions in online data collection.

Meta’s latest systematic update reveals the new ad delivery process called Meta Lattice. This allows Meta to use multiple data points to better predict likely ad responses with the use of AI and other predictive technologies.

  6. Testing Generative AI Elements for Facebook and Instagram Ads - Meta

Meta is building a range of new ad tools to help refine AI options, called the AI Sandbox. This includes built-in generation tools for ad creative that incorporates three elements: text variation, background generation and image outcropping.

    1.       Text Variation: Use AI to generate multiple variations of ad text, giving marketers more options to choose from to maximise performance.

    2.       Background Generation: AI will be used to create backgrounds for product images from text inputs, saving advertisers the time and money in building creative elements.

    3.       Image Outcropping: Adjust visuals to fit different aspect ratios across multiple placements, such as Stories and Reels.

These AI elements are designed to make the lives of marketers and creators easier, and help businesses create more effective ads on Facebook and Instagram.

While this development is only being tested to a small group of advertisers, it will soon be available to everyone.

  7. New Feedback Options on Reels to Better Align with User Preferences  - Meta

So users can provide input on the Reels displayed in their feeds, Meta has added new, simplified feedback control options on Reels clips. This means they will be seeing new “Show more” and “Show less” options at the top of the three dots menu on any Reels clip.

What does this mean for your Reels?

It’s more important than ever that the Reels you’re publishing are relevant, valuable, and compelling for your target audience.

User-generated content (UGC) can be extremely useful for property brands who want to level up their content marketing activities by harnessing positive customer reviews and experiences. Recently, Instagram began testing out a new option that allows brands to discover UGC in the app.

When users tag a brand in a post, the brand will be able to request permission to feature their products in the post. This will make it easier for your business to source more user-generated content and expand your Instagram presence.
